HUNGER GAMES! - Let's Make This a Nerd's Review.

            I'll admit it.
I went to the premier.
As with Harry Potter, I am a psycho-freak fan girl.
WHOOOO CAAAARRREEES?

Midnight? H-yes.
Exhaustion? Unfortunately.
but
WHOOOO CAAAARRREES?

The movie was fabulous!
More than 2/3 of that may be because of  the young men in that movie,
(Josh Hutcherson AND Liam Hemsworth??? I may have died not once, not twice, but three times.)

The acting was great, the scenery was great, the MEN were greeeeeeeeat.
Music: adequate.
Ceasar Flickerman: Hilarious.

I have only a few issues.

1. Katniss' hair braid was not down her back, as it says specifically like 80 times in the book, but braided down the side. My OCD senses were tingling the whole time.

2. The cornucopia, which the book also describes vividly as gold, turned into a strange and mysterious robot trout of silver. Was it really so hard just to follow the book in that regard?

3. (And this one has nothing to do with the movie) 40 year old mothers! Y U come dressed in your Peeta Mellark shirts and squeak and giggle every time he walks on the screen?!?! You have children that age! I see that is creepy! There are plenty of deliciously attractive men your age to be all attracted to! (I would know, I'm a great fan of many of them. Heh. It ain't as creepy for me. {though still admittedly creepy.})

Anyway, I've noticed something interesting as I've talked to two of the age groups that went to view this movie.
-Those my age (A.K.A. angsty, lusty teenagers) : Everyone from this age group ranted for hours about how there wasn't enough romance, or at least, not near enough making out, which at our age is basically the same thing, right?
-Those of an elder variety: Everyone said they WAY overplayed the romance. Too much kissin,' too much love.
WOAH.

A funny thing I've noticed as I talk to two

I side with the angsty side. KISS MORE! Katniss, act like you are at least a little in love with him, because in the book, you doubt wether you love Peeta at least once.

Hee hee, Ha Ha! I loved reading this. I haven't read the books or seen the movies, but my girls have done both. I laughed outloud at the ladies who were "creepily" giggling over the younger boys. Remember that we feel young even if we're ancient! Well, except all of the aches and pains we feel young:)
