Hey, everyone... it's been a while. Not that long, but, you know, I missed you. I feel sad when you're not around.
So sit down and let grandma Ali tell you a story.
Once upon a time, there was a girl named Ali. She lived in a galaxy far far away, where sleep was outlawed. The gnomes of exhaustion were on the prowl constantly, searching for those who would rather sleep than do worthwhile things like, I don't know... homework?
Now, Ali was getting rather cantankerous about the whole business, and she illegally punched one of those gnomes a few times and was fined heavy fees and once sent to jail. However, she and sleep were still painfully separated.
For many years she wandered sadly, mulling over math problems she had no answer to and secretly making fun of the man trying to sell her graduation announcements and other graduation paraphernalia.
Once, she got to spend a few hours with her good friend sleep, but they were torn apart by the cruel alarm clock who ruled the land, with his wife, a cruel mistress named school.
School was the cruelest lady in the land. She had no mercy, and would ruthlessly punish any who came to her court late, or failed to bring a paper in exactly right.
She put Ali in jail, you see, to finish her spread for yearbook until late at night.
Years turned into decades, and the moon passed through the sky a great many times, bidding Ali to do the one thing she could never do: sleep.
Until one day, she got tired of it. Ali rose up, (and by rise up we mean lay down for nap time) and refused to listen to Lady School.
Yeah right.
Nope. I'm still here, all right. Doing all sorts of fun things.
Everything except LEARNING.
I do, however, have a few good things to tell you about.
Just gimme a second while I come up with 'em.
It's almost the weekend! And, tomorrow I get out early from school. (Thank the Zeus.)
I'm almost finished with my book wreath. I shall post that on the OTHER blog as soon as it is completely finished.
Which may be never. I'm notoriously lazy. I have many projects to finish at this moment in time.
Psych season 6 started last night... which I DIDN'T get to watch...
I'm hunting it down on the internet tonight though.
I can't let it evade me again. It's far too important.
Also, I learned a new song on the piano, because I know you care soooo muchly about that. It's called Someone Like You by Adele. And just so you know, it sounds..
Not that good, but maybe it will. Eventually. wait for iiiiiiittttt.....
Also, I may be wrong, but I believe I just figured out how to change this back to my old formatting. Let's see if it worked, eh?
